During World War II, thousands of American men still left for the war front leaving several factory, municipal service, and war creation jobs at the rear of. In an attempt to briefly fill the industrial labor shortage, " Rosie the Riveter” was born. Meant to represent the best female worker, " Rosie the Riveter”, even today, is considered the most effective advertising campaign in US Record. The movie Living and Times during the Rosie the Riveter describes the differences among men and women inside the workforce. Though " Rosie the Riveter” was meant to empower women and increase their chances, in reality there were no enhancements made on the public perceptions about women and their tasks in society.
